Miguel Angel Solis Orozco (hereinafter, “the Controller”), with address in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its Regulations.

To fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, we collect the following categories of personal data:
• Email address
• Password (stored in encrypted form; we do not have access to your password in plain text)
• Daily vaping consumption records (“puffs”)
• Daily limits and personal goals you set
• Reduction program configuration (reduction rate, intervals, preferences)
• Streak history and in-app achievements
• Timestamps of your consumption logs
Note on sensitive data: Data relating to your vaping consumption habits may be considered health data under Article 3, Section VI of the LFPDPPP. Processing this data requires your express consent, which you grant by accepting this Policy and by actively logging your consumption in the app.

• Error logs and crash reports
• Account creation and management: To register, authenticate, and maintain your user account.
• Service delivery: To store and sync your consumption tracking data and progress.
• Reduction functionality: To run the gradual reduction algorithm based on your success history.
• Notifications: To send you reminders and motivational messages, if you enable them.
• Service improvement: To analyze aggregated and anonymized data to improve app features.
• Communications: To inform you about important updates to the app or this Policy.
If you wish to opt out of processing for secondary purposes, you may do so by sending an email to mike@solis.rocks with the subject line “Opt-out from secondary purposes.”
For the operation of PuffWise, your personal data may be transferred to the following third parties acting as data processors (not as independent controllers), who are contractually obligated to process your data according to the Controller’s instructions:

Since the processors listed above are located in the United States, your personal data will be transferred to a country that does not provide a level of protection equivalent to that established under the LFPDPPP. However, such transfers are carried out under the following legal bases: – Processors have entered into confidentiality and data processing agreements that ensure an adequate level of protection. – Processing is necessary for the performance of the service agreement between you and the Controller (Art. 37, Section IV, LFPDPPP).
You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object (ARCO rights) to the processing of your personal data, in accordance with Articles 28 through 40 of the LFPDPPP.
How to exercise your ARCO rights:
Submit your request to mike@solis.rocks including the following information: 1. Full name and email address registered in the app 2. The right you wish to exercise (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, or Objection) 3. A clear description of the data or processing you are addressing 4. A copy of an identity document
Response time: The Controller will communicate the resolution of your request within 15 business days of receipt, in accordance with Article 32 of the LFPDPPP. If the request is approved, it will be fulfilled within the following 15 business days.
Account deletion
You may request the deletion of your account and data directly from the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or by writing to mike@solis.rocks. Your data will be deleted within a maximum of 30 calendar days from the date of your request, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.
By using PuffWise and actively logging your vaping consumption, you grant your express consent to the processing of your personal data, including sensitive data (health habits) described in section 2.2, for the primary purposes set out in this Policy.
You may revoke your consent at any time by exercising your ARCO rights. Such revocation will not affect any processing carried out prior to it.
The app uses local on-device storage (AsyncStorage) to save session data and preferences for offline use. This storage does not involve cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking technologies for marketing purposes.
Your personal data will be retained for as long as you maintain an active account in PuffWise and for any additional period required to fulfill legal obligations or resolve disputes. Once that period ends or upon your request, your data will be permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
If you believe the Controller has violated your personal data protection rights, you may file a complaint with the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI):

The “last updated” date at the top of this document reflects the current version. Your continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
